Gas Products
We have been active in the Gas Market for decades in the field of overpressure protection of gas stations. We carry the 3/2 valve for this purpose.

3/2 Valve

3/2 Manual switching valve

The 3/2 manual switching valve is designed to change, by manual operation, a gas flow direction in a control line of a gas station.

The 3/2 hand switch valve (1/4″ connection) is independent of the applied gas pressure and of the flow direction. The valve can be used for various applications and has full 8 mm orifice ports. The valve returns to its original position when released.

The other existing manual shift valves generally have limited clearance because the sealing o-rings pass over or along the inlet and outlet ports when shifting. If these ports are too large, there is a possibility that the o-rings could be damaged by the sharp edge of the port hole. Our valve does not suffer from that.

Combifit's 3/2 switching valve has connection ports of ø8.0 mm where other existing valves are usually equipped with a through-hole of ø3.0 mm.

The advantages of the full pass

- the valve can be placed in a supply line without restricting the required gas flow rate.

- when a valve or regulator is depressurized, the valve has sufficient flow capacity to pressurize the system in the desired time and in a controlled manner.

Operation of the valve

Pressing the switch button by hand against a spring action first breaks the existing flow connection and then establishes another passage for the gas. The force for manual switching is independent of gas pressure. Closing is also not affected by gas pressure.

Work Pressure & Safety

The maximum working pressure of the 3×2 valve is 30 Bar. At a maximum test pressure of 45 Bar, the valve can be easily switched by hand. The 3×2 switching valve has been successfully pressurized to a pressure of 60 Bar.

Since the valve is spring-equipped and switching is done by depressing the spring, the valve will always return to the normal operating position as soon as the control knob is released.

Applications

The valve has three connection ports and can be used as follows.

- In a pressure compensation line, the operating output port can be closed with a plug so that no gas flows through the valve during the operating condition. Once the valve is depressed, a flow occurs to the third port to pressurize the system.

- If the valve is placed in a supply line, normal full passage from input to output can occur. Switching the valve manually shifts the passage to the other output to which a third line (test line or drain line) is connected. The first output is then automatically blocked.

- The valve can also be applied in reverse flow direction where two inputs are available and one output. This application can be used when connecting a test case. When switching, the normal supply is blocked and pressure can be applied from the test case to the safety to be checked.
